National Quantum Office

The National Quantum Office (NQO) is a national platform that was established with the support of the National Research Foundation (NRF) to drive the development and implementation of the National Quantum Strategy in Singapore. The Office was set up in April 2022 and is hosted by A*STAR, the Implementing Agency for Quantum. NQO supports fundamental and translational research in Quantum through various strategic programmes that it oversees. It partners both public and private sectors to create a vibrant RIE quantum ecosystem in Singapore.

April 2026 marks an exceptional moment for the quantum community in Singapore, with a vibrant line-up of world class events spanning research, industry, and emerging technologies. 14 April also marks World Quantum Day, a global initiative that promotes public awareness of quantum science and technology.

From cutting edge advances in trapped ion technology at the Asian Conference on Trapped Ions and grounds-up initiatives to celebrate World Quantum Day, to high level dialogue and collaboration at the Quantum Industry Day and deep technical exchanges at the Workshop for Quantum Repeaters and Networks, Singapore emerges as a global meeting point for quantum innovation.
