The National Quantum Office (NQO) organized Singapore’s first Quantum Industry Day. The event was held on 10th February 2023 at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre City.
This is an inaugural event marking a launch of planned series in years to come, that aims to foster robust partnerships between industry and researchers in the Quantum field. This inaugural quantum industry day event saw participation from over 90 attendees.
A*STAR Assistant Chief Executive of Innovation and Enterprise, Professor Tan Sze Wee opened the event with a welcoming address to the attendees. NQO Executive Director, Ling Keok Tong, took the stage next to share with the audience a prelude of Singapore’s Quantum Initiative.
Attendees then heard from the national quantum platform representatives – Prof. José Ignacio Latorre, Prof Manas Mukherjee, A/Prof Alexander Ling and Dr Haw Jing Yan – who delivered insightful talks on the following topics:
- Quantum communications and security
- Quantum processors, computation and simulation
- Quantum sensing and metrology
The event ended with a networking session.
